Work starts on temporary replacement for Maidenhead’s Broadway carpark
Work began this week to open a new temporary public carpark in Maidenhead, as part of our plans for the future of the town centre.
The new car park, located at the former site of Broadway Carpark behind the Nicholson’s Shopping Centre, will be run by Green Parking and is set to open before Christmas to help boost local businesses at such a critical time for them.
Following the demolition of the previous multi-storey carpark for safety reasons during 2023, the new surface level car park will improve access to the shopping centre and other retailers for an initial period of one year.

Have your say on Stag Meadow highway improvements
There is still time to have your say on our proposals to make Stag Meadow cleaner, greener and safer, including a new pedestrian crossing at St Leonard’s Road, a narrower junction at the entrance to the Meadow and green spaces for local people to enjoy.
Funded by developer contributions and a government grant, the proposals are also part of our commitment to enhance the existing walking and cycling routes connecting the Thames River to Windsor Great Park.
Include your views by the end of this Sunday 17 November on RBWM Together, by email or requesting a printed copy at Windsor Library.

Well done Emily!
Congratulations to 21 year-old Emily who has walked The Long Walk in Windsor this week as part of the BBC’s Children in Need 2024 Appeal being celebrated on our TV screens later today!
Emily has Cerebral Palsy, which makes it difficult to move and get around. By completing the challenge as part of this year’s The Challenge Squad, she has covered the furthest distance she has ever walked before in support disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
On day two of her challenge, she received a surprise visit from Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Edinburgh!
