Have a COVID-19 safe Ramadan

This Ramadan, keep your loved ones safe by wearing your mask and keeping your distance when you’re out and about, and washing your hands as soon as you get home.

The COVID-19 vaccine doesn’t contain any animal products, and it will not break your fast as it contains no nutritional value, so please take your first or second vaccine dose when you are invited to do so.
Windsor bin collections from 6.30am on Saturday 17 April

On Saturday 17 April, waste and recycling collections in some areas of Windsor will start from 6.30am.

This means that the time of your collection may be earlier than usual.

If you have a collection scheduled for Saturday, please make sure your bins are clearly visible and outside your property by 6.30am. Alternatively, if it is easier, you can put out your bins on Friday evening ready for collection the next day.
Libraries closing early

On Saturday 17 April, Windsor and Maidenhead libraries will be closing early at 2.30pm as a mark of respect for His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral.
Support a local charity instead of leaving a floral tribute

Following the death of His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, The Royal Family has asked that people consider donating to a charity of their choice, or one of The Duke of Edinburgh's patronages, instead of leaving floral tributes.

The Duke supported many organisations within the Royal Borough – a full list of patronages can be found on the Royal Family website.

If you would like to donate to help communities within the Royal Borough, The Prince Philip Trust Fund supports a wide range of causes including local charities, organisations, and schools. The Baby Bank, The DASH Charity, and the Kevin Cruise Foundation have all previously received funding from the trust. You can donate via the Prince Philip Trust Fund website.
