Staying safe in extreme weather
Storm Éowyn, the fifth named storm of the 2024/25 season, is expected to cause significant disruption across much of the UK today and over the weekend. While the impact is expected to be low in the Royal Borough, a yellow warning is in place for strong winds during today, Friday 24 January.
Information on how to prepare for extreme weather is on our website, including details of how to report fallen trees and power lines that have come down, and how to sign up for priority services for water and energy for the elderly and people who are vulnerable.
You can see the latest weather warnings on the Met Office website or learn more about what to do and who to contact in a power cut from Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN)
