Welcome Community Partners that are supporting and building resiliency in Harnett County!

Resilience Initiative Harnett County is a grassroot activity that was started after a viewing of the Resilience Film and follow-up Community Cafes.

It is times such as these that call on people and communities to have resilience and strength to meet problems head on. As a community we can help lead the way.

Vision Statement

Harnett County organizations and agencies collaborate to support our community and empower individuals to be strong, healthy, and resilient.

Mission Statement

Building a resilient Harnett County community through awareness, education, action, community connections, and relationships.

Three Main Focus Areas

Awareness - Viewing our community through a different lens

Collaboration - We are better and stronger together

Education - ACE’s (adverse childhood experiences), brain science, resilience, prevention, and trauma focused

Moving Forward

Develop a Leadership Collaborative that will be responsible for moving the Resilience Initiative forward

Work on hosting a larger event or training in 2021

Develop a list of possible trainers and trainings that can be offered in the community. Add this list to the Resilience Initiative web-tab

Join the Team!

The overall purpose of the Resilience Initiative Leadership Collaborative is to gather together a group of committed individuals that will meet monthly through an online platform. These leaders will work together to decide how the Resilience Initiative grows, and how we reach the larger Harnett County community.

2-page resource document. You are encouraged to use this document to become more familiar with services that are used by Harnett County families.

The resource can be accessed from the tab to the left or found at www.harnettsmartstart.org

This resource document is a living document, and it will take the entire community to help keep it up-to-date. Please contact us about any changes or updates that need to be made to it.
