What's new: The Behavioral Health Reform and Innovation Commission (BHRIC) released its 2022 annual report.
Why it matters: Informed by the BHRIC Year 1 report recommendations, the Georgia House and Senate unanimously passed the Mental Health Parity Bill (HB 1013) in the 2022 Georgia Legislature with resounding bipartisan support, thanks in part to the leadership of Resilient Georgia Board Chair, Dr. Brenda Fitzgerald, in the BHRIC.

|
What's new: Our illustrated Learning Cards for six key terms that are used to talk about Resilience and why it matters are now available in 12 languages, including Ukrainian.
Why it matters: These can be useful communication tools as you start conversations about Adverse Childhood Experiences, Early Brain Development, Positive Childhood Experiences, Toxic Stress, Resilience, and being Trauma Informed in your communities.

What's new: These AAPI mental health resources may be helpful in caring for our AAPI community, particularly i n light of the recent, awful Monterey Bay and Half Moon Bay shootings.
Why it matters: These organizations are working to make sure AAPI individuals receive the care they deserve. By providing resource connection and advocacy, they are greatly strengthening resiliency for this population.

- Resilient Georgia is hosting Patient-Centered Mental Health in Pediatric Primary Care (PPP), a dynamic 2.5 day, 16.25-hour interactive course for primary care clinicians focused on building skills and confidence in diagnosing and treating pediatric behavioral health problems. Check out upcoming trainings in Augusta, Ga. on Feb. 3 and Columbus, Ga. on May 19.
