Resilient Georgia Resiliency Trends | | Resilience is an act of love | | |
Resilience is growing across Georgia — and we’re proud to begin the year celebrating a major milestone: Resilient Georgia now has 100% statewide coverage across all 20 regional coalitions! We share this achievement with deep gratitude for the partners whose leadership, collaboration, and care made it possible.
February invites us to think about care - how we give it, how we receive it, and how we sustain it. Resilient Georgia is leaning into self-care as a critical part of resilience, spotlighting the programs, partnerships, and practices that support well-being for individuals, families, and communities across our state.
From moments of rest to systems that make care more accessible, this month’s newsletter celebrates the many ways love, care, and resilience show up in our work.
Save the date! Join us April 30 to learn more about the Community Resiliency Model (CRM) at our General Meeting, and be part of the movement strengthening resilience across Georgia.
With love,
The Resilient Georgia Team
| | This Issue: 6-Minute Read | | Recognizing and Responding to Burnout | | |
What's new: Our end of year survey for coalition members revealed nearly 75% of participants are feeling a moderate to very high state of burnout or chronic stress.
- Feedback highlights that burnout is most often driven by capacity challenges rather than lack of commitment. While several partners emphasized the importance of boundaries and self-care, the overarching theme is clear: dedicated leaders are deeply committed to the work, but sustained investment in staffing, structure, and support is critical to maintaining a healthy and effective coalition network.
Go deeper: In our latest blog post, "When Helpers Feel It Too: Recognizing and Responding to Burnout," frontline professionals from the Mental Health Career Accelerator (formerly National Mental Health Workforce Acceleration Collaborative) share how burnout shows up for them and the small, intentional practices that help them restore balance.

| Community Resiliency Model (CRM) | |
What's new: The Community Resiliency Model (CRM), developed by the Trauma Resource Institute in Claremont, California, introduces a paradigm shift in how individuals understand their own responses to stress and trauma. CRM includes six wellness skills.
Why it matters: The six wellness skills are excellent for self-care and help to expand resiliency over time while also interrupting unpleasant responses to stress such as anger, anxiety, and possibly mitigating uncomfortable somatic symptoms such as pain, upset stomach, or headaches.
CRM training: CRM training is offered in two formats: a 1-hour Introduction, which provides an overview of the model and a 3-hour Workshop, which offers an in-depth exploration.
Stay tuned: Join us April 30 for our General Meeting featuring CRM!

What's new: Mindful Self-Compassion is a program designed to help people be kind to themselves in moments of suffering.
How it works: The self compassionate approach can be seen as an antidote to our tendency to judge and berate ourselves when we mess up. There are three core aspects of this program: self-kindness, a sense of common humanity, and mindfulness.

What's new: We're thrilled to announce the launch of Resilient Metro, an expanded regional coalition serving Fulton and DeKalb counties.
Why it matters: Formerly operating as the Resilient Georgia coalition for these counties under the leadership of ARCHI, Resilient Metro builds on ARCHI’s longstanding leadership as a collaborative of more than 150 partners working to address the root causes of health disparities through Community Resource Hubs (CRHs). As part of this expansion, ARCHI is joined by two new co-leaders: the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy (GCCA) and The Confess Project of America, forming a shared leadership model to deepen trauma-informed systems change across the region.
