What is the Resilient Columbus Coalition?

"Columbus County has a diabetes rate of 16% and heart disease rate of 37% and our children are being placed in foster care at alarming high rates due to abuse and neglect.
A high degree of adversity in children can cause higher rates of poor health and child abuse and neglect. Resilient Columbus is a coalition of agencies and individuals who work on issues related to ACEs and Resiliency. We inform the community on best practices to advocate for children and families going through traumatic experiences. Introducing resiliency as a way to combat trauma will expose children, adults and families to positive mental, physical and health outcomes. Our goal with Resilient Columbus is to have a trauma-informed resilient community."
