Resilient Columbus is a task force of local leaders who are looking to address Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and build resiliency in Columbus County by informing the community. Our mission is to promote resilience in Columbus County through the education and engagement of community members regarding the life-long impacts of adverse childhood experiences.

Resilient Columbus Steering Committee meets every first Wednesday via zoom at 2:00 pm.

Resilient Columbus Coalition meets every fourth Tuesday via zoom at 10:00 am.

Hurricane Preparedness

Mr. Hill gave us an informative presentation on how to be prepared for this hurricane season during the Resilient Columbus Coalition Meeting on 7-27-21.


Marketing Committee Update

The Marketing Committee continues to work on drafts of the Resilient Columbus brochure and the elevator speech. Several suggestions and comments were made to improve the documents.
FUNDING has been secured through the Z. Smith Reynolds grant to continue support for the coordinator of Resilient Columbus. United Way of the Cape Fear Area has funded the Data Tool for the four county Cooperative which includes, Columbus, Pender, Brunswick and New Hanover. Columbus County Partnership for Children - Smart Start and Resilient Columbus are very appreciative of the financial support given.

We are excited to say that we have reached our goal of over 40 signed agreements. We are still working very diligently to obtain an agreement from every partner agency. If you have not submitted an agreement please do so as soon as possible?
