Dementia Grant

Informational Sessions on January 7, 1:00 - 3:30 PM

The Minnesota Board on Aging administers a competitive grant program focusing on Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, as well as their impact on families, friends, and caregivers. 

Alzheimer's Awareness Grant

Due on January 8

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Aging and Healthy Communities Unit is requesting proposals to partner with MDH to implement a public information campaign to provide awareness of Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementia's (ADRD)

AARP Community Challenge Grant

Open for applications January 10

Annual "quick action" grant program funds local projects that help make communities more livable for people of all ages.

REST Train-the-Trainer Class

REST (Respite Education and Support Tools) is a nationally recognized, interactive, two-day Train-the-Trainer course that prepares those who will train respite care workers in their own communities.

Do you offer chore or other services to older adults, or do you want to start? Do you refer these services? Do you see this need in your town or surrounding area? Consider attending this informational session! 

We will share about what the services are, what supports are available to you, and what local groups are doing the work - whether it's a provider, a local organization, or a community group. Hear directly from providers and organizations sharing about their own journey, including successes and challenges.

Friends of the Jackson County Trails

The Jackson County Trails Committee has been formed to develop a trail system throughout Jackson County. It is committed to enhancing the quality of life in our area, with a vision of bringing families, friends, and communities together. The committee's goal is to provide economic opportunities for the county, enhance the quality of life, and offer a safer means of outdoor activity.
