What's Happening

  • *NEW* The City of Seattle is updating the boundaries of its seven City Council Districts to give each district approximately the same number of residents and balance representation in city government. These changes do not affect current City Councilmember representation in 2023. Those running for City Council in November of this year will go on to represent the new districts when they are sworn into office in January of 2024.   • ICYMI: Join us and a host of neighborhood volunteers on the morning of Saturday, May 20th to help give the neighborhood a little extra TLC at the Annual Pioneer Square Spring Clean on Saturday, May 20th from 9 to 12p. Register Here. This year's Spring Clean is in coordination with the City's second annual One Seattle Day of Service. Learn more here.

  • *NEW* The Seattle Metro Chamber has a collection of resources tailored to various business needs, from business recruitment, retention and expansion activities, export assistance, business recovery and more. Visit the recently launched Economic Development Hub for resources available to your business.

Partner Efforts

  • *NEW* Join Seattle Good Business Network on April 27th for an afternoon of education on how small businesses and microenterprises can diversify their revenue stream through the introduction of classes and workshops. Enjoy a complimentary tour of Westland Distillery followed by a panel led by Logan Niles of Blue Nile Consulting and featuring speakers from Westland Distillery , The Pastry Project Simple Goodess Sisters. Register here to attend. Funding provided by the Washington State Microenterprism Association. (WSMA) thanks to a grant made by the Washington State Department of Commerce.
  • *NEW* As more businesses return to the office, the Seattle Metro Chamber is working with regional leaders and Mayor Bruce Harrell’s office to ensure more economic growth and revitalization of commercial centers. To better inform this work, the Chamber is asking community members to fill out their survey about Return to Office policies or plans. The survey closes on Friday, April 21.

Other Neighborhood Updates


  • *NEW* The Alliance for Pioneer Square is asking business owners/managers to fill out our annual crime and safety survey. The goal of the survey is to get an accurate understanding about the impacts of crime and the effects of safety concerns of Pioneer Square businesses over the past year. The 2023 Annual Pioneer Square Crime and Safety survey will close on May 31st, 2023. Take the survey here.

  • The Alliance offers free virtual/in person de-scalation trainings led by the Metropolitan Improvement District (MID) and the Seattle Police Department (SPD). The MID/SPD de-escalation training is going to be in-depth training program that teaches you how to recognize, reduce and manage aggressive behavior. Please contact chris@pioneersquare.org to schedule a training for your business.

  • Each Friday, we give neighborhood businesses and organizations the opportunity to share a series of photo and video content to the Alliance for Pioneer Square’s social media channels via stories, feed posts and live video updates, for the entire day.   • The Pioneer Square Business Owners & Managers Facebook group is an opportunity for business owners and retailers to participate in an online forum and share resources, support and stories.
