What's Happening

  • *NEW* The Alliance for Pioneer Square would like to extend a big THANK YOU for joining us at this year's Annual Pioneer Square Spring Clean event and the city's One Seattle Day of Service. A full event recap is available here and pictures from Spring Clean can be viewed on the Alliance's Facebook page.

Worker and Business Resources

  • *NEW* The ORCA Recovery Card Program has been extended until May 31, 2024.The ORCA Recovery Card is a temporary, unlimited, and full-subsidized ORCA card provided to food service and grocery/ convenience store employees who work at a business in Pioneer Square, the Chinatown/International District, Othello, or Rainier Beach. Please keep your ORCA Recovery card to continue riding transit at no cost. New employees at eligible businesses can request a card here

Partner Efforts

  • *NEW* The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) is committed to supporting small businesses and their workers through accessible transit. SDOT is currently exploring options to reduce costs for small businesses in the food service, grocery, retail, and personal care sectors in offering their employees a free transit benefit. They are inviting small business owners, managers, and employees to tell them about their transit needs and provide feedback on employee transit program options. Take this survey by June 30 to be entered into a raffle for a $25 e-gift card!


  • *NEW* The Seattle Community Local Business survey aims to understand opinions and beliefs within the Pioneer Square community related to quality of life, and real estate development. The survey is intended to help better understand stakeholders’ perceptions on development in the areas where they live and/or work, and what they value and would like to improve in the community.   • *NEW* The Seattle Seahawks have announced their 2023-2024 season which includes 10 home games at Lumen Field this season. View all home games as well as the full schedule here.

Other Neighborhood Updates


  • *NEW* The Alliance is hosting the first in a series of happy hours this year on Tuesday, June 20 from 4-6pm at Burbs Burgers, to connect administrative, facilities, human resources, and operations professional from around the neighborhood. We also hope to build relationships with these folks so that the Alliance’s resources are adequately being shared to those working in offices in Pioneer Square. RSVP here.


  • *NEW* Join the Alliance on Wednesday June 21 from 9-10AM for a technical assistance workshop to help prepare your business for the upcoming event season. The Alliance is partnering with several Pioneer Square businesses to provide tips on preparing your business for summer events. Alliance staff and neighborhood business owners will share an overview of major events coming to Pioneer Square this summer and what you can do to ensure your business benefits. RSVP here to attend.

  • The Alliance offers free virtual/in person de-scalation trainings led by the Metropolitan Improvement District (MID) and the Seattle Police Department (SPD). The MID/SPD de-escalation training is going to be in-depth training program that teaches you how to recognize, reduce and manage aggressive behavior. Please contact chris@pioneersquare.org to schedule a training for your business.


  • Each Friday, we give neighborhood businesses and organizations the opportunity to share a series of photo and video content to the Alliance for Pioneer Square’s social media channels via stories, feed posts and live video updates, for the entire day. Fill out the Google Form to get started with the process or email us at info@pioneersquare.org if you have any questions.



  • The Pioneer Square Business Owners & Managers Facebook group is an opportunity for business owners and retailers to participate in an online forum and share resources, support and stories.
