Permanent Supportive Housing Availability
Permanent Supportive Housing has spaces available and are accepting referrals to their program.

Eligibility Requirements:
A person would be considered eligible if they score within Housing First range on a Coordinated Entry VISPDAT Assessment in HMIS, and can show proof of chronic homelessness and disability.

Coordinated Entry Assessments:
Coordinated Entry assessments can be completed by Salvation Army staff, or Gulf Coast Centers (GCC) PATH team. GCC’s PATH team can provide assessments to individuals interested in connecting to mental health services, and accept screening requests from GCC’s clinic case management staff.

Free Fun! Baby Talk | Story Time| Rosenberg Library

  • Baby Talk
Dates:on Tuesdays, January 18th – April 26th 
Time: 9:30 am, Location: Outdoors at Rosenberg Library (if weather permits)
Baby Talk goes outdoors! Meet at the pavilion on the south side of the library for a program specially designed for our youngest patrons and their significant others. We’ll share some rhymes, simple stories, songs and a puppet or two and throw in some early literacy tips. Please come! Recommended for 0 – 24 months.

Dates:on Wednesdays, January 19th – April 27th
Time:10:00 am, Location: Outdoors at Rosenberg Library (if weather permits)
Storytime goes outdoors! Meet at the Sealy Pavilion on the south side of the library for a playful program featuring singing, storytelling, movement, and more planned to promote early literacy development and to encourage one-on-one interaction between children ages 2 – 5 and their caregivers.

ParentingHelp Collaborative Meeting 
Date: January 20, 2022, Time: 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm
It is time to wrap up our ParentingHelp Collaborative Meetings for 2021 and would love to have you attend! Join our wide range of providers, teachers, parents, and community members to highlight the importance of human trafficking awareness in honor of human trafficking awareness month. Our speaker will be joining us from The Landing, a local nonprofit committed to combating human trafficking and assisting survivors. Some of the topics discussed will be, warning signs of human trafficking, ways that families and parents can work against human trafficking, and how children and adolescents are at risk for human trafficking.

Catholic Charities food distribution in Galveston holds a drive-through food distribution, supplied by the Galveston County Food Bank. The event is scheduled for the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month.
