WILLISTON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
NEWS & UPDATES
Message from WED Executive Director,

The Williston Economic Development Office is assessing the impact of COVID-19 on our local businesses.

We are all in this together and nothing is more important in this office than our continued support to the entrepreneurs who have invested in the community.

First and foremost, it is important that we heed health and safety recommendations to limit the spread of COVID-19.

Once everything has settled, we will assess the business community and work to provide information and resources to businesses that have been impacted by COVID-19

We have been in contact with the North Dakota Department of Commerce, Small Business Development Center, Greater North Dakota Chamber, the Bank of North Dakota and local lenders to learn and discuss options for businesses that have been impacted.

We are currently working on an information resources page within our website www.willistondevelopment.com  that will help with questions and options due to impact.

We support all of you!

Williston Economic Development - The City of Williston is taking steps to protect its citizens, staff and visitors during the COVID-19 crisis. We want the public to know we are conducting business as usual with a few modifications,” said City of Williston Administrator David Tuan. The City of Williston plans to keep all buildings open except for the Williston Community Library and the Williston Center for Development, said Tuan. The two buildings will be closed until early April. “We will be staffing the Center for Development, but we will be suspending in person meetings and asking people to call if they need help,” said Williston Economic Development Executive Director, Shawn Wenko. Williston Chamber rallies Support for Small Businesses
Williston Area Chamber of Commerce - Small & Locally Owned Businesses are facing great uncertainty as our community navigates COVID-19. It is important that we are united, and rally around our friends and neighbors who own and operate the small businesses that are heart of our community. We can all do our part to help ensure that Williston's United Business Community remains strong throughout, and after this pandemic. Social Distancing is critically important over the coming weeks to keep our community safe, and healthy. Williston Chamber
