Resources for Bringing Employees
Back to Work Properly
With many states gradually reopening for business, your company may need to recall employees who were laid off or furloughed. Or you may need to bring your workforce back to satisfy the requirements of Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan forgiveness. Either way it is important that you manage the recall appropriately and document the process.

This documentation is especially important for businesses whose employees may be reluctant to return to work, either because they are making more income through enhanced unemployment benefits or for their own personal reasons. The PPP loan forgiveness process offers 'FTE Reduction Exceptions' to the calculation formula if the employer can supply adequate proof of attempted worker recalls.

We have helpful resources available to assist you in making sure your recall is memorialized properly, including sample recall letters and the official PPP loan forgiveness application form. Contact your engagement partner or call (781) 407-0300 to get a copy of these valuable documents.

If you have any questions about managing your business through the reopening process and into the "new normal," please contact us for assistance and guidance.
