We are writing today because of the rapid spread of the Delta variant of the Covid-19 pandemic. In recent weeks, the pandemic has surged among unvaccinated people. Even vaccinated people are at risk for “breakthrough” infections. Many congregations in the region are looking again at their Covid-19 safety precautions due to this new threat. The rapidly spreading Delta Variant has increased the risks of getting together indoors.
Governors in many states, including Idaho and Oregon, spoke this week about rapid increases in Covid-19 cases. Many states have seen their hospitals overwhelmed or nearing capacity, making normal operations difficult if not impossible......
