Respect Life Ministry Newsletter

Dear Pro-Life Friend,
Happy month of the Sacred Heart!

In addition to Corpus Christi this Sunday, we have a trifecta of sorts next weekend: On the 19th we celebrate the feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, on the 20th we celebrate the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and on the 21st we celebrate Father's Day -- and what better earthly model and heavenly intercessor do we have for fathers than the pure hearted St. Joseph? So the three Hearts of the Holy Family depicted above are a fitting meditation for us this month (artist credit: Leanne Bowen, www.leannebowen.com, used with permission).
I wanted to let you know that Respect Life Ministry is making preparations to gradually re-open our five Pregnancy Help Centers this month! This will take place in phases to ensure proper precautions for the health and safety of everyone. While all staff members are now back at their work sites, we continue to offer remote services and online classes. We will let you know as soon as we have approval to welcome our clients, and then our dear volunteers, safely back into the Pregnancy Help Centers!

Last month we partnered with Marriage and Family Ministry to offer FREE online Natural Family Planning info sessions, and this month I'm pleased to announce that we're partnering with Katherine Lantigua to offer FREE Music Therapy webinars ! These educational webinars are mostly geared towards mothers in the prenatal and postpartum stages, including our Pregnancy Help Center clients. But anyone wanting to learn more about how music can improve maternal-child health and bonding-- thereby helping to build a culture of life and love-- is most welcome! Click HERE to sign-up for the English session on June 23rd and the Spanish session on June 24th .
My friends, our society has experienced many wounds of late, and has been feeling the effects of sin and evil acutely. At such a time as this, let us " contemplate the Sacred Heart of Jesus, which is the source of life, since by means of it victory over death was achieved. "

And let's pray that the Immaculate Heart of Mary may "shine before the eyes of all Christians as the model of perfect love toward God and toward our fellow beings ; may it lead them toward the Holy Sacraments by virtue of which souls are cleansed from the stains of sin and are preserved from it. May it also stimulate them to make reparation for the innumerable offenses against the Divine Majesty. Lastly, may it shine like a banner of unity and a spur to perfect the bonds of brotherhood among all Christians in the bosom of the one Church of Jesus Christ..."

For Life,
Rebecca

PS- Our Assistant Director, Angela, tells me everyone is having baby girls! So we need more baby girl clothes (sizes newborn to six months) and blankets for our layettes, as well as volunteers to help wash gently used clothes. Email acuratalo@theadom.org to get involved!
