Adopt-A-Sunday at the Square
Let us show our faith in action by standing in solidarity with our Black neighbors in the Wooster community and beyond.

Please use the Doodle poll here to indicate which Sunday (either Sunday, October 18, or Sunday, November 1) would work best for you to participate in the protest for Black Lives Matter on the Wooster Square together as a church community.

Daily 12-1pm protests on the downtown Wooster square have been happening since June 1, we have surpassed 125 consecutive days, and are continuing indefinitely. Sunday protests were started specifically with communities of faith in mind. Anyone is welcome to join on any day. There are usually at least 15-20 people but Sunday attendance has been dipping.

On the Sunday that Westminster "adopts," we would be responsible for bringing signs, extra water bottles and hand sanitizer, and leading a simple litany. These supplies are provided by the organizers of the protest, it is just our responsibility to bring them to the square. We will create the prayer litany, and you are welcome to create your own sign if you like. We invite you to spread the word to your family and friends and welcome them to join us in solidarity.

Please indicate which Sunday works best for you by Tuesday, October 13. If you have any questions, please contact the Church Office.
Interest in Antiracist Book Study
The Session recently began a study of Ibram Kendi's book, "How To Be An Anti-Racist." We would like to offer the opportunity to to the community as well. Our hope is to deepen our understanding about issues related to race/racism and discern ways in which we as a congregation can engage in dismantling racist systems in our society.
Please use the attached Doodle poll to indicate whether you would like to be part of a group that will read Ibram Kendi's book together. For more information on the book click here. Depending on how many responses we receive, the study will commence in early to mid November, on a bi-weekly basis.

Your response is requested by Monday, October 26. If you have questions about this book study, please contact the Church Office. We invite you to purchase the book in advance, if you need the church to buy a copy for you please let us know.
