Dear valued partners and friends,

As this month comes to an end, we find ourselves reflecting on the essence of Cambodia and its growing potential as a destination. Our participation at the ITB Berlin last month only solidified what we've observed: there has been an increased interest in the country, particularly among slow travel enthusiasts. These discerning travellers are captivated by the notion of leisurely immersing themselves in diverse landscapes, and discovering concealed treasures along the way. And we know just how many possibilities there are for this in Cambodia!

Our tourism figures are even more encouraging: in 2023, Cambodia received 5.43 million tourism arrivals, nearly 140% more than in 2022 (2.27 million arrivals). The numbers continue to expand, as nearly 1 million travellers visited in just the first 2 months of 2024 (January to February). This presents a prime opportunity to harness the growing interest in Cambodian travel experiences.

On the other side of the spectrum, as our tourism industry grows, so must our responsibility toward the environment and the communities we work with. Cambodia's government has unveiled plans for a new high-speed train, which not only enhances the overall travel experience but also provides a more sustainable travel option. Simultaneously, our team at DTH Travel Cambodia regularly initiates CSR projects to address multiple ways in which we can preserve our natural landscapes and support our local communities. This month, we invite you to join us in one of our initiatives, our Refill Not Landfill program.

We present these updates, and introduce two exclusive hotel promotions for an idyllic island paradise escape, in this month’s newsletter.

We are very grateful for your continued support and our successful collaboration, and look forward to creating more exciting and meaningful adventures in Cambodia with you!

Tŏu’ aôy ban sŏk!

Yours,
Villy
