HCSO Newsletter #44 | Rest in Peace Police Sgt. Kaila Sullivan
Message from Sheriff Ed Gonzalez:

Our local law enforcement family gathered to mourn yet another loss this week as we laid to rest Nassau Bay Police Sgt. Kaila Sullivan. I continue to pray for her loved ones and her Nassau Bay P.D. family. Police Sgt. Sullivan was a dedicated public servant and was cherished in her community. She will be missed by many.

In September, we lost Deputy Sandeep Dhaliwal. Though it is an impossible task to properly memorialize a man of his integrity and service, I’m happy to announce that Harris County Commissioner Court unanimously approved designating a section of the Sam Houston Tollway in the name of Deputy Dhaliwal. As we await state approval for the proposal, I’m thankful that our community is eager to honor our fallen brother. It is well deserved.

During the holidays, our teammates on patrol have a message to our community: “Lock your car, take your keys, and hide your belongings.” Staying proactive and diligent during the holiday season can prevent our community from being victimized by Grinches this year.

To all of my teammates, a Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah, a Happy Kwanzaa , and happy holidays with your families . Let’s cherish these moments together. God bless you, and God bless the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
