Restaurants in Center City Are Reopening, However...
Restaurants all over the city are reopening. Folks can do curbside pickup and takeout. Now, outdoor dining is allowed. All good news! But the City Health Commission has warned that some restaurants that allow outdoor dining, are not following the
- such as social distancing. Restaurants that are not following the guidelines could be fined up to $2,000.
Although Inspectors are dispatched regularly, according to The Health Commission, the City is urging patrons to report violations to 3-1-1.

- Philadelphia Remains in the "Yellow Phase" of reopening. The Kenney Administration says the "earliest to go to 'Green Phase' is July 3." Once in the Green Phase, special guidelines will be issued for activities. High risk activities (i.e. large attending events) will not be allowed in the Green Phase. Juneteenth Is Now An Official City Holiday
Mayor Jim Kenney announced that the City of Philadelphia will designate Juneteenth, also known as "Emancipation Day," as an official city holiday. City offices and facilities will be closed to the public to observe Juneteenth, which commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth is celebrated on June 19.
