Restoration at Mather Woods
Starting February 14, Mather Woods will undergo invasive species removal, hazardous tree felling and brush pile burns in an effort to restore the woodland to its native state. This helps make the woods safer while also providing a better habitat for wildlife.
Work is being performed by ecological restoration companies Pizzo & Associates and Integrated Lakes Management (ILM) and is scheduled to take 1-2 weeks.

Great Adventures Preschool Information
New student registration applications will be accepted March 6-16 at the Great Adventures preschool office located inside the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center at 24550 W. Spring Break Escape!
Keep the kids busy during Spring Break with a variety of activities and trips. Participants ages 5-10 meet new people, make new friends and have a great time! Spring Break Escape runs 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., April 3-7. Choose one trip or all five for a 10% discount for the week. Trips include:

Tiny Chefs & Snacks on the Run
Two youth enrichment classes are now open for registration:

Tiny Chefs (Ages 3-5) - Participants make simple recipes that work on stirring, mixing and counting skills, while also getting to taste their own creations! Saturdays, 9:30-10:15AM, March 4-25, $53/$66 R/NR

Snacks on the Run (Ages 6-12) - Snacks on the Run is ideal for those "on-the-go" kids looking for the perfect snack to take with them. Mondays, 5:30-6:30PM, March 6-27, $53/$66 R/NR

Fun Runs
Registration for the 2023 Fun Runs is now open! These runs are for all ages and are approximately one mile long. The trio consists of:
- Bunny Hop, April 2, 2023
- Spooky Sprint, October 21, 2023
- You Can't Catch Me, November 25, 2023
Each race is $25 with participants receiving a free T-shirt and goodie bag. Sign up for all three races and save $15!!!
