Restorative Practices: Virtual Circles
Overview: This workshop focuses on helping educators learn and adapt new ways for running circles virtually. Objectives of the training are as follows:

  • Review the importance of community building, especially given the disconnect students feel during the pandemic in a virtual/hybrid learning environment
  • Review components of effective circles and model/share/discuss some virtual restorative practice approaches, activities, and circle protocols that can be adapted to a virtual setting
  • Provide and discuss activities within each of the parts of a circle (opening, community building, discussion, closure)

Platform: This course will be offered via Zoom. The Zoom link will be emailed to registered participants.

Date: Wednesday, December 2, 2020 from 9:00am-10:00am

Target Audience: PK-12 teachers, all content areas
