Restore State Funding for Help Me Grow
Help Me Grow provides Connecticut families with access to a coordinated, statewide system of early detection and care coordination for their children. The Governor's recommended budget eliminates all funding for this important program which serves approximately 10,000 families each year.
Since 2002, 85% of children referred to Help Me Grow have been successfully connected to appropriate programs and services. The Connecticut Help Me Grow program is a model that is currently being replicated in 27 other states. It is important for state legislators to hear directly from their constituents on this important issue.
