Throwback Thursday

Arcadia Mills No.1 and No.2 were significant to Spartanburg's textile industry, and are significant once again in the Arcadia community. Arcadia Mill No.1 (1875 Hayne St) was built in 1902, and operations expanded in 1923 to open Arcadia Mill No.2 (100 West Cleveland St.) The mills were sold to Mayfair Mills Inc. in 1934, and Mill No.2 became Baily Mill- operating until 2001. Today, they are Arcadia Station Lofts and Mayfair Art Studios (No.1,) and Mayfair Lofts (No.2.)
