Estimada Comunidad Bolívar:

Nos complace informarles acerca de los resultados obtenidos gracias a la implementación del sistema fotovoltaico en nuestro Colegio. Esta iniciativa, que forma parte de nuestros esfuerzos hacia la sostenibilidad y la reducción del impacto ambiental, ha generado importantes ahorros tanto en consumo de energía como en costos.

• Durante el período agosto 2023-2024, el sistema fotovoltaico instalado en las cubiertas de la Biblioteca y el edificio de Ciencias ha logrado los siguientes resultados:

• Ahorro en consumo de energía: se han reducido 122,569 Kw/Hr al año, lo que representa una disminución del 20.35% en el consumo total de energía del Colegio.

• Ahorro económico: este ahorro en energía se traduce en una reducción de $71,665,483 pesos anuales en costos de electricidad.

• Ahorros adicionales: gracias a la eficiencia del sistema fotovoltaico, hemos generado excedentes de energía que han sido pagados por Emcali, lo que ha aportado $13,377,907 pesos adicionales en ahorros.

• Total de Ahorros: Sumando el ahorro en consumo y los excedentes pagados, el ahorro total durante este año ha sido de $85,043,390 pesos.

Además, en julio de 2024 se instalaron 15 nuevas lámparas solares en las zonas verdes del campus, lo que se proyecta generará un ahorro adicional de 16,200 Kw/Hr al año y un ahorro económico de $9,477,000 pesos anuales.

Dear Bolivar Community,

We are pleased to inform you about the results obtained thanks to the implementation of the photovoltaic system in our School. This initiative, which is part of our efforts towards sustainability and reducing environmental impact, has generated significant savings in both energy consumption and costs.

During the period August 2023-2024, the photovoltaic system installed on the roofs of the Library and the Science building has achieved the following results:

• Savings in energy consumption: 122,569 Kw/Hr have been reduced per year, which represents a 20.35% decrease in the School's total energy consumption.

• Economic savings: this energy saving translates into a reduction of $71,665,483 pesos per year in electricity costs.

• Additional Savings: Thanks to the efficiency of the photovoltaic system, we have generated energy surpluses that have been paid for by Emcali, which has contributed an additional $13,377,907 pesos in savings.

• Total Savings: Adding the savings in consumption and the surpluses paid, the total savings during this year have been $85,043,390 pesos.

In addition, in July 2024, 15 new solar lamps were installed in the green areas of the campus, which is projected to generate an additional savings of 16,200 Kw/Hr per year and an economic savings of $9,477,000 pesos annually.
