TEACHING eHEALTH TO MEDICAL STUDENTS
Information technology is rapidly changing medical practice and patient expectations.  Is your curriculum preparing future clinicians for this reality?

Medical educators and residents who teach are invited to a series of four live webinar workshops providing knowledge, tips, and tools for integrating digital health information management into student learning. The workshops are free, offered in English 3 times January through March 2016, and all take place 1-3pm EST.

Learn and be able to teach:
  • how clinical decision support systems affect practice, trainee behaviours, clinical reasoning and patient safety;
  • the differences between an EMR, EHR and PHR;
  • how technology: (1) changes the way clinicians communicate with their patients and each other, (2) opens new channels for patients to access their health information, (3) empowers patients to  communicate with their health team and other patients.
