Greetings!

Thank you to all who participated in the recent bylaws vote. The results are summarized below.

APPROVED

The following ballot items were approved by the required two-thirds majority of voting members:

  • The adoption of the proposed bylaws (core components)
  • The ballot item granting the Board of Regents the authority to create nonvoting membership categories
  • The ballot item reducing the membership tenure requirement for eligibility to serve on the Board of Regents

NOT APPROVED

The ballot item setting the maximum annual certification fee increase at 5 percent, replacing the current membership dues cap, was not approved. The current annual membership dues cap of 3.5 percent will remain unchanged.

These updated bylaws support the planned separation of certification functions and membership activities and will take effect on January 1, 2027.

In the coming months, ACVS will share additional details about what membership will look like under this new structure.
