June Updates

Rising Temperatures & Resuming Services

Summer has finally arrived, and with it, a busy time at Christ House.

This week, we are proud to have reopened our 5th health station. This outpatient clinic allows individuals to see a primary care physician, a case manager, and to receive a shower and toiletry kit. During the pandemic, this program has been halted, but we are happy now to resume these essential health services for people in need. The clinic operates from M-TH, from 1-4pm. Please feel free to invite individuals to utilize these services at our location.

Thank you for being a part of our mission, and allowing us to continue serving this community.

If you see someone in need during the extreme heat this season, please call the DC shelter hotline: 202-399-7093. Click here for a map of DC cooling centers.

The Compassion in Action virtual 5k is back!

Last year, our community came together virtually — with participants ranging from Washington, DC, all the way to Canada — to support our mission in a fun new way. With your help, we raised over $12,000 to help men experiencing homelessness in DC. This year, we’re excited to connect with you all again for a virtual 5k with an in-person celebration.
