Resumption of normal operations at CapU

Dear Agents,

We are pleased to share with you that Capilano University and MoveUP Local 378 (our staff union) have reached an agreement and as of yesterday, Monday, July 24th we are back to normal operations.

We are finalizing admissions for Fall 2023 and any non-processed applications will be deferred to the Spring 2024 term. We will contact you about any specific applications you may have that need to be deferred. Now that we are back in full operation, we are accelerating the processing of Spring 2024 applications currently in the system. Please be prepared for some delays as we work through these.

Due to continued high demand, we have closed Business degree and diploma program applications for Spring 2024 (NABU currently remains open) and we may close applications for Arts and Sciences programs next week. These closures will also help us expedite applications currently in the system.

We normally begin calculating commissions for the summer semester after July 10th with anticipated payments in early August. The calculations are currently underway, but there may be a delay before you receive your payments. We hope any potential delay will be minor and we will notify you about payment timelines as soon as we have further information.

We apologize for any delays or difficulties the strike action may have caused. We are extremely happy to have our team at the Centre for International Experience together again to serve our students and you to normal expectations.

Please do not hesitate to contact me or any of our team here at CIE with any questions you may have through the following contact emails:

Best regards,
