Greetings!
The 13th Sunday in Ordinary Time calls us to trust God fully and to follow Christ with
a willing heart. Saint Paul reminds us that baptism brings a real change. We leave behind what once held us and rise with Christ to a life shaped by grace. This new life does not promise ease, but it does promise freedom. We belong to God, and our lives are meant to reflect His love.
The Gospel deepens this call. Jesus asks for wholehearted commitment, yet He also reveals that even the smallest act of kindness has a place in the Kingdom of Heaven. Nothing offered in love is ever wasted. The first reading shows this truth in the generous woman who receives the unexpected gift of a son. Faith opens the door to God’s surprising blessings.
Together, these readings remind us that faith is lived, not only believed. God invites us to let go of old ways and to walk in the newness He offers. Not everyone is called to be a prophet or an apostle, but every believer is called to holiness. When we embrace the life Christ gives, we discover the quiet joy of walking closely with Him and becoming a sign of His presence for others.

We’ve put together a special video celebrating Father Bill’s time with our parish. We invite you to enjoy this glimpse into our shared memories and to join us in praying for many more years of his dedicated stewardship.

Each day the children and their leaders would join Priscilla in the catacombs to safely hear about our faith and encourage one another. We learned about early Christian symbols and ways that our faith family back then would encourage and help one another spread the "Good News" about the love of God.
They also would spend time in the Marketplace making Roman crafts while learning about Roman culture.
Our Games Master taught them each day about Roman games, activities, and skills.
Our journey was enriched with a video message each day from St. Paul in prison.
We also sang, danced, and celebrated being children of God, all led by our leaders Lauren and Kate.
Our VBS allows our children to enter into BIBLE TIMES each year. It is an impactful experience which can only happen with loads of support from the parish. We are so thankful for the teens and adults who gave their time, talent, and treasure to make this special week happen.
Day 1: God's love is a gift and His love changes us.
Romans 12:2 —"Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by renewing your mind and heart."
Saint of the Day - The Apostle Paul (we learned all about his story and his witness all week long).
Day 2: God's Love is always with us.
Romans 8:38 —"And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love.
Saint of the Day - Priscilla of Rome ( and her whole family who followed Jesus).
Day 3: God's Love saves us and keeps on saving us.
John 3:16 — "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that whosoever believes in him, might not perish but might have everlasting life."
Saint of the Day — Lydia of Philippi - leader of the church in Philippi and first Baptized Christian of Europe.
Day 4: God's love is worth sharing.
Hebrews 12:1 — "Therefore since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us rid ourselves of every burden and sin that clings to us and persevere in running the race that lies before us while keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the leader and perfecter of faith. For the sake of the joy that lay before him he endured the cross, despising its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God."
Saint of the Day — Junia one of the women Apostles in the early church. She traveled, spread the letters of Paul, was imprisoned for spreading the Good News, and was also one of the instructors of the faith to other Apostles.

If you are still receiving donation envelopes but no longer need them, or if you now give by check, QCD, RMD, or through WeShare, we would be very grateful if you would let us know so we can discontinue sending them. Doing so helps our parish be good stewards of our resources while still keeping an accurate record of your generous support. Thank you for your kindness and for all you do for our church community. If you would like to stop receiving envelopes, please email Sue Johnson by clicking the button below or sending an email to sjohnson@rcparish.org. | Hand in Hand Funding Requests
Attention Ministries!
As we prepare for the upcoming fiscal year (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027), we are excited to continue supporting charitable initiatives and ministry efforts through the Hand in Hand Fund. As a Stewardship Parish, Offertory Giving remains the primary way parishioners contribute to the mission and good works of our community.
We invite all parish ministries to submit funding requests for charitable projects or programs planned for the upcoming year. These requests will help us allocate a portion of Offertory donations to support your important work.
To apply for funding:
- Please complete a Hand in Hand Fund Request Form for each project or program.
- Clearly state the amount requested and provide a brief description of how the funds will be used.
-
Submit your completed form(s) to the parish office no later than June 30, 2026.
All submissions will be reviewed, and funds will be distributed based on available budget and alignment with our parish mission.
Thank you for your continued dedication and service!

Two Adult OCIA processes for 2026-27
After the success of last year’s Jubilee Pilgrimage to The Grotto, we are planning another pilgrimage this summer to Mount Angel Abbey.
This is a wonderful opportunity to step away from the daily distractions of life and focus on solitude, peace, and prayer. Or to just enjoy some personal time from the hustle and bustle of life. Family and friends are welcome.
RSVP by July 12th

The Beatitudes: God’s Roadmap to Everlasting Joy
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Being “pure in heart” means having sincere intentions and a love for God that seeks nothing that would jeopardize that relationship. It involves striving for moral integrity and putting God first. The pure of heart seeks a holy life, striving for integrity in mind, heart, and moral actions, bringing clarity to God’s plan. An example is performing acts of charity out of genuine compassion, not for recognition.

Through honoring the Sacred Heart, the faithful are invited to reflect on the depth of Jesus’ love and respond with trust, devotion, and a renewed commitment to live in His love.
O most holy Heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore you, I love you,
and with a lively sorrow for my sins, I offer you this poor heart of mine.
Make me humble, patient, pure, and wholly obedient to your will.
Grant, Good Jesus, that I may live in you and for you.
Protect me in the midst of danger; comfort me in my afflictions;
give me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs,
your blessing on all that I do, and the grace of a holy death.
Amen.

QCD
A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) allows individuals who meet the age requirements old or older to donate up to one or more charities directly from a taxable IRA instead of taking their required minimum distributions.
RMD
Required minimum distributions (RMDs) are the minimum amounts you must withdraw from your retirement accounts each year. You generally must start taking withdrawals from your traditional IRA, SEP IRA, SIMPLE IRA, and retirement plan accounts when you meet the age requirements. Changes in deduction rules and limitations will impact how much you can deduct for donations.
Meeting the age requirements, you may qualify to take annual distributions from your retirement account to make tax free donations to charities of your choice.
Resurrection Church is a qualified public charity 501(c)(3) and can receive your QCD.
Contact your financial advisor for updated and relevant tax advise.
Will, Living Trust & Estate Planning
Include Resurrection Catholic Parish or School in your will, trust or estate planning. Your gift – no matter how big or small – ensures our church, school, or school endowment fund can continue all of the incredible work we do, and you will be making an impact in the lives of others for many years to come.
We are deeply grateful for your consideration in supporting
Resurrection Catholic Church and Resurrection Catholic Parish School
with your generous donations. Thank you for keeping us in your hearts.
