Greetings!
This Sunday reveals a God whose mercy is generous and whose ways rise far beyond our own. Isaiah urges us to turn toward the Lord while He is near, trusting His readiness to forgive and renew. Psalm 145 praises God’s constant kindness and celebrates the love that sustains all creation. His justice is always joined with mercy, and He is close to all who call upon Him with sincere hearts.
Paul reminds us that life finds its purpose in Christ. Even from prison, he sees every moment as an opportunity for faithful service. His longing to be with Christ and his desire to remain for the sake of others reflect the Christian call to self‑giving love. He encourages us to live in a way that honors the gospel.
Jesus’ parable of the landowner reveals the surprising generosity of God. He gives freely, not according to human calculations. The first and the last are welcomed alike, showing that the kingdom is built on grace rather than comparison. Entitlement breeds resentment, but gratitude opens the heart to mercy. When we recognize that everything is a gift, our perspective changes. We rejoice in God’s goodness and give thanks for the blessings in our own lives.
Grace is always unearned. Embracing mercy over comparison draws us into the heart of Christ and transforms the way we see the world.

| | Ava & Jack Anderson's Baptisms | | |
This past weekend, with great joy and celebration, we welcomed Ava and Jack Anderson into the Catholic faith through the Sacrament of Baptism. Surrounded by the love and support of their family and friends, Ava and Jack became members of our parish family and began their lifelong journey with Christ.
May God bless Ava and Jack abundantly as they grow in faith, hope, and love. May the light of Christ always guide their steps, and may their families be strengthened with grace and joy as they nurture them in the Catholic faith.
| | | Thank You for Making Phase 2 of the Rossman Hall Improvements Possible!
The Resurrection community is truly blessed by the generosity and commitment of our parishioners. Thanks to the incredible support of so many, including a parish family who anonymously made a significant contribution to help us reach our goal, we have successfully funded Phase 2 of the Rossman Hall improvements. We are excited to announce that the air conditioning project is moving forward!
This achievement is a wonderful reflection of the spirit of stewardship that thrives within our parish. Through your generosity and dedication, Rossman Hall will continue to be an even more welcoming and comfortable gathering place for our faith community for years to come. Thank you to everyone who helped make this important project a reality.
As a first step, work has already begun with the removal of two trees near Rossman Hall in preparation for the project.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who has shared their time, talent, and treasure to help bring this vision to life. Your generosity and dedication continue to strengthen our parish and create a welcoming space for our community to gather, celebrate, and grow in faith together.
In the coming weeks, we look forward to sharing details about Phase 3 of the Rossman Hall repairs and improvements. Until then, please accept our heartfelt thanks for helping us reach this important milestone. This achievement would not have been possible without your support of time, talent, and treasure.
Thank you for being such a faithful and generous part of the Resurrection family.
| If you are still receiving donation envelopes but no longer need them, or if you now give by check, QCD, RMD, or through WeShare, we would be very grateful if you would let us know so we can discontinue sending them. QCD
A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) allows individuals who meet the age requirements old or older to donate up to one or more charities directly from a taxable IRA instead of taking their required minimum distributions.
RMD
Required minimum distributions (RMDs) are the minimum amounts you must withdraw from your retirement accounts each year. You generally must start taking withdrawals from your traditional IRA, SEP IRA, SIMPLE IRA, and retirement plan accounts when you meet the age requirements. Changes in deduction rules and limitations will impact how much you can deduct for donations.
Meeting the age requirements, you may qualify to take annual distributions from your retirement account to make tax free donations to charities of your choice.
Resurrection Church is a qualified public charity 501(c)(3) and can receive your QCD.
Contact your financial advisor for updated and relevant tax advise.
Will, Living Trust & Estate Planning
Include Resurrection Catholic Parish or School in your will, trust or estate planning. Your gift – no matter how big or small – ensures our church, school, or school endowment fund can continue all of the incredible work we do, and you will be making an impact in the lives of others for many years to come.
We are deeply grateful for your consideration in supporting
Resurrection Catholic Church and Resurrection Catholic Parish School
with your generous donations. Thank you for keeping us in your hearts.

Universal Church Appeal Collection
Beginning in 2026, the Archdiocese of Portland is introducing the Universal Church Appeal, a streamlined approach that replaces more than 15 individual national
second collections with one unified annual appeal.
Through one simple, primarily digital giving opportunity, parishioners can support multiple domestic and international Church ministries, including Catholic Relief Services, Peter’s Pence, and World Missions. Gifts are passed through in full according to each donor’s designation.
There are QR-coded cards on the welcome table.
