Hello Business,

This week we are shown that value of the essential institutions of marriage between equals, family, and having a childlike trust in God to enter the Kingdom of God. These institutions are to be cherished and protected.

We must completely and unconditionally trust in God and depend on Him. We are God’s children, and He loves us unconditionally. We do not need to seek approval from others or worry about our worth because God values us like a parent valuing a child.

By living as children of God, we can find peace and joy. We can let go of our fears and trust that God will take care of us. This childlike trust and dependence help us to live more fully and freely in God’s love.

Ministry Leads

Over the past few years, we have asked ministry leads to sign up for a spotlight on their ministry. Sign ups are open for 2024/25.

The spotlight on a given weekend can include a witness talk at all the Masses and/or a special feature in the Resurrection Connection. Sign-up's available at Ministry Spotlight. Additionally, a Spotlight form must be completed. Please contact Betsy Taylor at btaylor@rcparish.org for any questions.

As ministry's become active again this fall, we wanted to remind everyone about our ministry guidelines. Please take a moment to read them.

Dear Don,

A big, big thanks to you, Lynn, Susan, Diana, and your staff at Resurrection Catholic Church. Without your loyalty and support, we would not be able to continuously provide hospitals with the life-saving blood for patients in need.  You, your dedicated volunteers and your amazing donors make our mission to help save lives possible and we are truly grateful to you all.  By hosting blood drives you are also helping us provide services to our Red Cross Humanitarian Services such as those happening right now in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.

As always, the space was wonderful and hospitality the best. Please extend our thanks to Lynn, Susan and Diana.

Here are the results:

  • 22 donors presented
  • 3 first time donor (thank you for finding additional newbies – you always do a terrific job for us)
  • 5 deferrals and 2 incompletes
  • Collected 13 units/pints of whole blood and 2 Power Red (which count as 2 each) for a total of 17 units collected.

These 17 units will help immensely with ensuring we have enough blood for all patients in need.

QCD

A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) allows individuals who are 70½ years old or older to donate up to $105,000 total to one or more charities directly from a taxable IRA instead of taking their required minimum distributions.

RMD

Required minimum distributions (RMDs) are the minimum amounts you must withdraw from your retirement accounts each year. You generally must start taking withdrawals from your traditional IRA, SEP IRA, SIMPLE IRA, and retirement plan accounts when you reach age 72.

If you are over 72 years of age you qualify to take annual distributions from your retirement account to make tax free donations to charities of your choice.

Resurrection Church is a qualified public charity 501(c)(3) and can receive your QCD.

We thank you in advance for considering Resurrection Catholic Church and School as recipients of your donations.

Will, Living Trust & Estate Planning

Include Resurrection Catholic Parish or School in your will, trust or estate planning. Your gift – no matter how big or small – ensures our church and school can continue all of the incredible work we do, and you will be making an impact in the lives of others for many years to come.
