Greetings!
The 5th Sunday in Ordinary Time calls us to let our faith shine through action. The Corporal Works of Mercy—feeding, sheltering, and caring for those in need—bring healing, hope, and the unmistakable touch of God into everyday life. When we serve others, we find peace and draw closer to Christ.
Our strength rests not in human wisdom but in God’s power. Trust in Him gives courage, even in weakness. Jesus teaches that our good works are not for praise but to reveal God’s love.
Isaiah reminds us that harsh words deepen darkness, while kindness and mercy bring light. True worship is more than prayer and ritual; it is justice, compassion, and using our gifts to build a better world.
Like salt that transforms food, even small acts of goodness can change lives. Faith must be lived boldly, not hidden. History shows the cost of silence in the face of evil; disciples of Christ are called to stand firm and radiate goodness.
To follow Jesus is to shine—quietly, courageously, and faithfully—so that God’s light reaches those who need it most.

Here is feedback shared by a parishioner who has participated in a previous Lenten Small Group—reflections that highlight the meaning, community, and spiritual renewal these gatherings inspire.

We are looking for "Guardian Angels" to help support
teens who are hoping to attend the retreat.
We are happy to announce that our 7th-12th graders will have the opportunity to experience our first overnight retreat since before Covid! It's coming up next month, March 6th-8th. The true cost is about $200 per teen, and we are asking them to pay $120 to keep it as accessible as possible. We don't want cost to be a barrier to entry, and are looking for "Guardian Angels" to help us pay for the retreat and perhaps sponsor a teen or two.

We are looking to form an auxiliary group for the Knights of Columbus for the women of our parish.
The Columbiettes are a vibrant community of Catholic women inspired by our Patronesses—the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Thérèse the Little Flower, and St. Joan of Arc.
We are delighted to introduce a new Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus here in our parish, formed with the Council’s consent and support. Membership is open to all Catholic women; you do not need to be married or connected to a Knight to join.
Our Mission...
We strive to:
• Foster the spiritual, social, and charitable well‑being of our members.
• Uphold the dignity and vital role of Catholic women in protecting the religious, civil, and economic rights of all Catholics.
• Seek the intercession of Mary, our Mother and Model, as we work for the common good and extend compassion to all.
• Support the Knights of Columbus in their works whenever called upon.
As women united in faith, fellowship, and service, we joyfully invite you to learn more about who we are and how we serve. Our hope is to empower one another to live our faith with purpose, compassion, and courage.
If you are curious, interested, or simply want to ask a few questions, we'd love to talk, please email Maria Sapien at soymarus@yahoo.com

QCD
A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) allows individuals who meet the age requirements old or older to donate up to one or more charities directly from a taxable IRA instead of taking their required minimum distributions.
RMD
Required minimum distributions (RMDs) are the minimum amounts you must withdraw from your retirement accounts each year. You generally must start taking withdrawals from your traditional IRA, SEP IRA, SIMPLE IRA, and retirement plan accounts when you meet the age requirements. Changes in deduction rules and limitations will impact how much you can deduct for donations.
Meeting the age requirements, you may qualify to take annual distributions from your retirement account to make tax free donations to charities of your choice.
Resurrection Church is a qualified public charity 501(c)(3) and can receive your QCD.
Contact your financial advisor for updated and relevant tax advise.
Will, Living Trust & Estate Planning
Include Resurrection Catholic Parish or School in your will, trust or estate planning. Your gift – no matter how big or small – ensures our church, school, or school endowment fund can continue all of the incredible work we do, and you will be making an impact in the lives of others for many years to come.
We are deeply grateful for your consideration in supporting
Resurrection Catholic Church and Resurrection Catholic Parish School
with your generous donations. Thank you for keeping us in your hearts.
