Greetings!
The 3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time proclaims Jesus as the Light who breaks through the darkness and gathers God’s people into unity. Isaiah’s promise of a great light finds its fulfillment in Christ, who heals, restores, and turns despair into joy.
Paul calls the Corinthians back to unity, reminding them that they belong to Christ alone. True discipleship sets aside division so the Gospel can shine more clearly.
In the Gospel, Jesus invites ordinary fishermen to follow Him, beginning His mission with a simple call to repentance and trust. His preaching and healing reveal that God’s kingdom is already breaking into the world—and that His mercy is for everyone.
Jesus brings hope, unity strengthens the Church, and every believer is called. This Sunday reminds us that we, too, are meant to carry Christ’s light into places of darkness, to trust God’s plan, walk in His light, and become a light for others.

We are looking to form an auxiliary group for the Knights of Columbus for the women of our parish.
The Columbiettes are a vibrant community of Catholic women inspired by our Patronesses—the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Thérèse the Little Flower, and St. Joan of Arc.
We are delighted to introduce a new Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus here in our parish, formed with the Council’s consent and support. Membership is open to all Catholic women; you do not need to be married or connected to a Knight to join.
Our Mission...
We strive to:
• Foster the spiritual, social, and charitable well‑being of our members.
• Uphold the dignity and vital role of Catholic women in protecting the religious, civil, and economic rights of all Catholics.
• Seek the intercession of Mary, our Mother and Model, as we work for the common good and extend compassion to all.
• Support the Knights of Columbus in their works whenever called upon.
As women united in faith, fellowship, and service, we joyfully invite you to learn more about who we are and how we serve. Our hope is to empower one another to live our faith with purpose, compassion, and courage.
If you are curious, interested, or simply want to ask a few questions, we'd love to meet you. Please stop by the Knights of Columbus table at the Ministry Fair- we'll be there and are happy to talk with you. If you can not make the Ministry Fair, please email Maria Sapien at soymarus@yahoo.com

What is it to Discover the Wonder of Eucharistic Miracles?
Eucharistic miracles are extraordinary signs where God makes the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist visible—such as a consecrated Host becoming flesh or blood, surviving fire, or providing miraculous nourishment. These events, carefully investigated and approved by the Church, strengthen our faith in this profound mystery.
The Vatican International Exhibition of Eucharistic Miracles, created by St. Carlo Acutis, features over 100 documented miracles from around the world. This is a duplicate of his exhibit, which is filled with stunning photos, historical accounts, and scientific studies, the exhibit invites us to rediscover the beauty of Christ truly present in the Eucharist.

Join our 2026 Lenten Small Group
Here is feedback shared by a parishioner who has participated in a previous Lenten Small Group—reflections that highlight the meaning, community, and spiritual renewal these gatherings inspire.
“Week after week, we’ve had lively discussions based on the readings and journaling. Everyone seemed to feel relaxed and safe about sharing. This year, the format of working with our books several times during the week was a good habit-builder.
Sticking with a weekly topic got me thinking more about it, coming back to the theme from different angles. Also, I got to make new friends by sharing in our cozy, comfortable environment.”
As always, you are invited to participate in a variety of practices designed to help us grow closer to God as we prepare our hearts for Easter.
- Lenten Small Groups – Starts January 31, 2026
- Ash Wednesday – February 18, 2026
- Coming Soon: Mass & Worship schedule for Lent & Easter.
- Soup Suppers (Stay tuned for information)
- Palm Sunday: March 29, 2026
- Good Friday: April 3, 2026

We are profoundly thankful for her years of joyful service and the beautiful witness of her faith.

QCD
A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) allows individuals who meet the age requirements old or older to donate up to one or more charities directly from a taxable IRA instead of taking their required minimum distributions.
RMD
Required minimum distributions (RMDs) are the minimum amounts you must withdraw from your retirement accounts each year. You generally must start taking withdrawals from your traditional IRA, SEP IRA, SIMPLE IRA, and retirement plan accounts when you meet the age requirements. Changes in deduction rules and limitations will impact how much you can deduct for donations.
Meeting the age requirements, you may qualify to take annual distributions from your retirement account to make tax free donations to charities of your choice.
Resurrection Church is a qualified public charity 501(c)(3) and can receive your QCD.
Contact your financial advisor for updated and relevant tax advise.
Will, Living Trust & Estate Planning
Include Resurrection Catholic Parish or School in your will, trust or estate planning. Your gift – no matter how big or small – ensures our church, school, or school endowment fund can continue all of the incredible work we do, and you will be making an impact in the lives of others for many years to come.
We are deeply grateful for your consideration in supporting
Resurrection Catholic Church and Resurrection Catholic Parish School
with your generous donations. Thank you for keeping us in your hearts.
