Third Sunday of Easter
April 30, 2017

"We invite everyone to share communion around God's altar.
We strive to be a welcoming and relevant Christian community doing what matters through prayer, worship, teaching, outreach, fellowship, and service.

We will demonstrate the real life application of scripture, tradition, and
reason by providing a safe place to respond to each other's needs,
hurts, joys, and interests."

  Easton Cain Memorial Scholarship

Resurrection Preschool is establishing a yearly scholarship in memory of Easton Cain, one of our students who died tragically on January 17 , 2017.  This scholarship will be awarded to a child who otherwise could not afford to attend Resurrection Preschool.  We envision that this will be an ongoing yearly scholarship.  The preschool board will review each application and make the determination of which family will be awarded the scholarship. The amount of the scholarship to be given will be based on the availability of funds.

If you would like to make a donation to the scholarship fund, please complete the form below and return with your check.

EfM Graduation This Sunday
Becky Schacht

Join us this Sunday at the 10:30 service for the Education for Ministry (EfM) graduation and commissioning of Becky Schacht. For the last four years, Becky and Hans have been part of the EfM group at Nacoochee Presbyterian Church. Bob Prim, the church's pastor and mentor of the group, will preach at both services. A reception will follow.

Becky's EfM group will be present for the 10:30 service to show their support. Congratulations Becky!
Guest Preacher This Sunday
The Rev. Bob Prim

Our guest preacher at both services this Sunday will be Bob Prim, the pastor of Nacoochee Presbyterian Church in Sautee.

Bob is the mentor of an EfM group at NPC in which Becky Schacht is a participant. At the 10:30 service, Bob will present Becky with her graduation certificate.

A reception will follow the 10:30 service.

Family Promise News

Work Day, Saturday, May 6
The Cundiff House Day Center needs sprucing up, so we will have a workday on Saturday, May 6, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  The leaves and weeds need to be removed from the play area in the back yard and general cleaning of toys and other play equipment.  If you can help, bring a rake and gloves.  Donuts and water will be  provided for volunteers.  If you have any questions, call, email or text Cathy Parrish (706-969-2107).

Trailer Team
If you have a truck with a trailer hitch, I have an easy volunteer opportunity for you. Every Sunday, the Family Promise trailer containing beds and other supplies has to be reliably transported from one church to the next for a successful host rotation.  If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to Pastor Tim Morgan at (912) 223-6018 or [email protected].
