Second Sunday in Lent
March 12, 2017

"We invite everyone to share communion around God's altar.
We strive to be a welcoming and relevant Christian community doing what matters through prayer, worship, teaching, outreach, fellowship, and service.

We will demonstrate the real life application of scripture, tradition, and
reason by providing a safe place to respond to each other's needs,
hurts, joys, and interests."

COVENANTAL RESTORATION A Series on Faith and Race

Racism and oppression have a long and painful past and present; it is an open, aching human wound that reflects a fracture in our relationship with God. Understanding how it was promoted and is still alive and acting out in the construct of our beliefs and systems and structures is the beginning of caring for this wound.

In this series on faith and race, we pray God would bring you hope, renew your mind, enliven your spirit, and gift you with the virtues of the Divine's own heart. May God strengthen your stand, inspire your movement towards God's dream for humanity, and increase Kingdom square footage with each step you make in Love.

"Covenantal Restoration" is an eight-session DVD-based discussion program that will begin on Wednesday, March 8 th . This 8-session educational series will be held on Wednesdays and Sundays for four weeks.  Each week there will be a short video to review, discussion time to share our experiences and reflection time to learn and grow.  Come and be a part of this Lenten experience led by Andy Gilbert, Joe Cash and Michael Randall.

The schedule is as follows:

Wed., March 8 th : 5:30 Soup Supper, 6:00 Session 1
Sun., March 12 th : 9:15 Session 2
Wed., March 15 th : 5:30 Soup Supper, 6:00 Session 3
Sun., March 19 th : 9:15 Session 4
Wed., March 22 nd : 5:30 Soup Supper, 6:00 Session 5

Wed., March 29 th : 5:30 Soup Supper, 6:00 Session 7
Sun., April 2nd: Breakfast
Wed., April 5th: Spring Break
Sun., April 9 th : 9:15 Session 8  with Dr. Catherine Meeks, Chair of the Dismantling Racism Committee for the Diocese of Atlanta.

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number; from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands . . .(
