Last Sunday After Pentecost
The Feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ the King
November 24, 2019

"We invite everyone to share communion around God's altar.
We strive to be a welcoming and relevant Christian community doing what matters through prayer, worship, teaching, outreach, fellowship, and service.

We will demonstrate the real life application of scripture, tradition, and
reason by providing a safe place to respond to each other's needs,
hurts, joys, and interests."

Shining our Light:
2020 Annual Giving Campaign

Thank you for being grateful, responsible stewards of the gifts we receive from God.  What a blessing and honor to be stewards of what God has given to us!  Thank you for supporting our ministry and mission at Resurrection and allowing Resurrection members to be beacons of light in our parish and out in the community. No matter what amount you pledge to Resurrection, your commitment makes a difference in the ministry and mission we do. As part of your spiritual discipline, we hope you will make sure to joyfully turn in your pledge so we can continue to shine our light in the parish and in our community.

You can pledge by filling out a card found in the narthex, or the easiest and most secure way to offer your pledge is by going to   https://www.resurrectionsautee.com/estimate-of-giving-for-2020.

We hope to have all 2020 commitments turned in by December 8th. Thank you for being a blessing!

Our sincere condolences to Jane Mitchell on the loss of her husband, Joe, on November 18, 2019.

A memorial mass will be held next Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at Resurrection.  A reception will follow.

If you can help provide food for the reception, please contact Katie Lynam (706/809-8024 or katie30528@gmail.com).

Jr. DYC and Sr. DYC | Jr. DYC December 13-15 & Sr. DYC January 4-6 both at Camp Mikell | $100Jr. DYC registration |  Sr. DYC registration

The Diocesan Youth Commission hosts its  retreat, the  DYC Retreats,  twice a year. They are hosted at Camp Mikell the second week of December for middle schoolers and the first weekend of January for high schoolers. This year's theme is Where is the Love? The theme is based on our Diocesan Youth Purpose Statement "we believe in forming disciples by sharing the all-inclusive and unconditional love of Jesus Christ."

The focus of the retreat is to bring the fun of Summer Camp into an abbreviated winter session. We even have Summer Staffers up to chaperone the weekend! DYC is always an exciting weekend that includes music, worship, morning program, afternoon activities, a dance, and plenty of fun!

Christy Harris
Donuts & Devotions!
Starting December 3 from 10:30-11:45 a.m., every Tuesday morning

Come join us for donuts and devotional time.  We will be studying Max Lucado's Life Lessons from Psalms.  No purchase of the book is necessary unless desired.  Please just bring your Bibles and come for morning fellowship and spiritual growth!

Led by Erika Koeppel and Jane Mitchell
Resurrection will again be supporting the annual White County White Christmas Project (aka Angel Tree) this holiday season. Beginning this Sunday, 11/17, we will have angels on the tree in the nave for selecting boys and girls of various ages with their gift wishes.

Participating shoppers will have until December 8 to shop for their angel(s).  All bags are due back on that Sunday. We will collect them and take them to the collection point.

Please consider supporting this very special ministry/outreach opportunity again this year.  May the spirit of Christmas be alive in our hearts as we bring cheer to those less fortunate then ourselves!

For additional information, please contact Katie Lynam (706/809-8024;    katie30528@gmail.com) or Ray Gregory (828/361-8993;  rgregory963@yahoo.com).
