Twenty-fifth Sunday After Pentecost
November 13, 2016

"We invite everyone to share communion around God's altar.
We strive to be a welcoming and relevant Christian community doing what matters through prayer, worship, teaching, outreach, fellowship, and service.

We will demonstrate the real life application of scripture, tradition, and
reason by providing a safe place to respond to each other's needs,
hurts, joys, and interests."

New Online Photo Directory
In Process

We are in the process of creating an online photo album (password protected) on the parish website. It will include a photo and names(s) only - no personal information. If you have had your photograph made, it is likely your photograph will be included in the online gallery. If you have not, we would like to take your picture. If you wish to opt out, please email [email protected].

Please consider an opportunity to show your compassion this Christmas by adopting an angel from the Resurrection Angel Tree. You can help a less fortunate child from our community have a brighter holiday.

Angels will be available for adoption in the narthex on November 13 and November 20 after both services.  Gifts must be brought to the church
no later than December 4.

For additional information, please contact
Paul or Cynthia Kimball at 706-878-1831.

Women's Bible Study
Thursday, November 17, 6:00 p.m.

The Women's Bible Study group will continue their study of Becoming More than a Good Bible Study Girl by Lysa Terkeurst on Thursday, November 17, at 6:00 p.m. at the church.

Please bring an appetizer, cookies and/or a beverage to share.  It's never too late to attend!  We look forward to seeing you.

If you have any questions, please contact Denise Dorsey at 706-348-7607 or [email protected].

Inda Allen Scholarship Fund Dinner
Sunday, November 20, 6:00 p.m.

The annual community celebration and fundraiser for the Inda Allen Scholarship Fund will be at 6 p.m. on Nov. 20 (the Sunday before Thanksgiving) at the Sautee Nacoochee Center in the Community Hall. The event is hosted by Nacoochee Presbyterian Church, Nacoochee Methodist Church, and The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection.

Inda was a beautiful role model and scholar who died from a blood clot when she was 17.  These scholarships help local African-American students pursue an education. Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy a delicious meal, fellowship, and entertainment.

Family Promise Update

This year, Family Promise of White County will participate in Georgia Gives Day. Georgia Gives Day is November 17th and is a statewide initiative to help with donations to non-profits. If you are participating in this statewide event, please consider giving to Family Promise of White County. It is an amazing initiative that we are proud to be a part of.

Thank you for supporting this important ministry.
