Seventh Sunday After Pentecost
July 28, 2019

"We invite everyone to share communion around God's altar.
We strive to be a welcoming and relevant Christian community doing what matters through prayer, worship, teaching, outreach, fellowship, and service.

We will demonstrate the real life application of scripture, tradition, and
reason by providing a safe place to respond to each other's needs,
hurts, joys, and interests."

The Lord's Prayer
Composer: Albert Hay Malotte; arr. Eleanor LaForge

Our Father, which art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done,
in earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.

We need help with the Diocesan Youth Tubing Event on Saturday, August 10.  Youth from all over the Diocese converge on Resurrection after tubing down the Chattahoochee.  We will provide lunch and then the group attends a youth-led Eucharist.

Please contact Christy Harris at [email protected] or 706-319-8024 (leave a message) if you can assist with shopping, cooking and/or cleaning up.

Thank you for supporting our youth!

We are working on fellowship events for our church and would appreciate your input!  Please take 60 seconds to fill out this survey. It would be so very helpful to us in planning events you would enjoy. Your opinion matters!

See you then.

Please mark you calendar for a quick parent meeting Sunday, August 4th, right after breakfast. All parents are invited.

The Diocesan Youth Tubing Trip is quickly approaching.  It's so much fun getting together with youth from around the diocese.  Please contact me if you are interested in going.  I can register our group, but I need to register us soon, so please contact me ASAP.  [email protected] or 706-319-8024 (leave a message).

Volunteers Needed!

The mission of the Resurrection Flower Guild is to beautify the altar of the Church and surroundings to the greater glory of God and to make our worship space warm and inviting.  The Flower Guild is composed of several volunteers who select and arrange the flowers.   No prior experience is required.

Please consider the Flower Guild when discerning your ministry commitments.  What a joyful way to make an impact on your community and to contribute to your faith family.

For more information on how to join this ministry, please contact Jane Maier at 770/841-4066 or [email protected].

The Guild also depends heavily upon sponsorships from parishioners.   Flowers may be placed on the altar in memory or thanksgiving of a loved one or in celebration of  a special event.   Parishioners are encouraged to contact the Parish Office to make these contributions ( 706/865-9680).
