The Fifth Sunday of Easter
May 19, 2019

"We invite everyone to share communion around God's altar.
We strive to be a welcoming and relevant Christian community doing what matters through prayer, worship, teaching, outreach, fellowship, and service.

We will demonstrate the real life application of scripture, tradition, and
reason by providing a safe place to respond to each other's needs,
hurts, joys, and interests."

Preschool News

We had some visitors this week!  When you work at a school in the country, you usually see wildlife. This was pretty amazing that we were able to get so close to these two deer. Resurrection Preschool is a special place!

What we don't know about ourselves can really trip us up, our relationships, and generally how we make our way in the world. It can also keep us in the shallows with God. Have you ever wondered what really makes you tick, why certain things motivate you...or why certain things do not? Consider t he Enneagram; an ancient personality type system created by early Church fathers & mothers with an uncanny accuracy in describing how human beings are wired, both positively and negatively.

In this formation series, we peek inside each of the 9 Enneagram archetypal human character structures that we naturally gravitate toward. These 9 types form a sort of color wheel that describes the basic archetypes of humanity's tragic flaws, sin tendencies, primary fears and unconscious needs.

The Enneagram is also a sacred map to our soul and a blueprint for developing character that each of us carries throughout our life, but we can't open it until we discover our type. In this series, not only will you learn more about yourself, but you will also start to see the world through other people's eyes, understanding how and why people think, feel, and act the way they do.

If you would like to take the typology quiz prior to joining us, you can try it here.

Hey Everyone!

Thank you to our youth for being so wonderful last Sunday ... and always!  You are all treasures to our church and our world. Please know you are being prayed for as you take exams and wrap up your school year. I hope to see you all at youth group this Sunday, May 19th, at 9:30.  If you come in late, meet us in the comfy sofa room near the kitchen.

These dates do not include church events.

See you soon,
Christy Harris

Touring the Valleys
Photo cred:  Luanne Wedd
Kathy and Larry Holbrook won a "Cruising Through History in Nacoochee and Sautee Valleys" tour sponsored by Mary and Chris Geidel at the silent auction held at the Preschool Dinner.   Mary has a vast knowledge of the history of the valleys! It was exciting to ride in Chris's restored Dodge convertible!  They had a great time!

Women's Bible Study
Over the summer, we will read the inspirational - and funny - Liz Curtis Higgs' book Embrace Grace  and share our thoughts on-line!

Text Jane Mitchell at 706-316-6921 if you are interested.  Details will then be sent out to the group on how to participate. Books can be purchased on-line at Amazon or most any other booksellers.

We will resume regular meetings in the fall - dates to be announced.

If you have any questions, please contact
