A Season to Savor, with Gratitude

As Thanksgiving approaches, we’re feeling especially thankful for the support and collaboration of our clients, partners, and friends this year. The retail world is always evolving and never dull, especially during the holiday season, and that’s also why it’s so important to take a moment out for gratitude and reflection.

This is the time we cherish — gathering with loved ones, sharing some delicious food, enjoying old traditions, and creating new memories.

At MOHR Retail, we’re celebrating and applauding those retailers that have decided to stay closed on Thanksgiving Day, bucking the more recent trend of getting a head start on Black Friday. These retailers are sending a powerful message to their associates and customers that they’re grateful for their teams and want to give them a chance to rest and rejuvenate before heading into the long workdays of a hectic holiday season.

🦃 In the spirit of sharing traditions, we also have a special treat for you this month. We’ve rounded up some of our MOHR Retail team’s favorite Thanksgiving recipes, which you can find below in the newsletter.

We hope you’ll join in the fun and contribute your favorite cookie recipe for a holiday cookie exchange we’re planning for our December newsletter. To take part, simply email us the recipe by Wednesday, December 7, and then be on the lookout for a batch of mouthwatering reasons to open your email next month!

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at MOHR Retail! We are grateful for the opportunity to serve and engage with you and your teams.

Make the Most of the Holiday Season

Between Amazon Prime Days, concerns about product availability, major retailers discounting to clear out inventory, and just plain stress about dealing with the crowds, consumers kicked off their holiday shopping early this year. Even with inflation woes, retailers are already in the thick of what’s expected to be a healthy holiday sales season.

As recent years have proven, Black Friday is no longer the biggest retail day of the year. In fact, Hugh Fletcher, global marketing director and thought leadership lead at Wunderman Thompson Commerce, told Retail Dive that companies will have to work much harder this year to encourage Black Friday spend. But with more channels at their disposal, retailers also have more opportunities to meet shoppers’ demands.
