Retired Crew to the rescue
A spring full of rain, meant foundations on our first 4 houses this season were 2 months behind schedule. Who does Habitat call? The Retired Crew. This hardworking group of talented guys stepped up to build 4 mornings a week, instead of 2. They continued on as Project Directors for Saturday builds, too. Thanks to their efforts, we're back on track and have started building on 2 more: the Collegiate House, built by ISU & IWU student chapters; and the Rotary House - a 5-Club collaboration.
Welcome Todd
We are thankful Todd Heiniger joined the Habitat team last week as halftime A Brush With Kindness coordinator and halftime Construction crew. He brings a wealth of construction and organizational experience to the job(s). Originally from Normal, Todd and his wife recently returned after 5 years as missionaries in Thailand. We already love working with him!

Todd jumped right in with both feet (and hands) to lead the first Saturday build on the Rotary House on Sept 14. Normal and Daybreak clubs flexed their building skills under Todd's careful tutelage.
