Mary’s vision, energy, and willingness to embrace new ideas have opened doors for tens of thousands of students and continually expanded what’s possible for our organization. She leads in a way that is both inspiring and grounded, setting ambitious goals for our community while never hesitating to roll up her sleeves and work alongside the team. That balance has not only fueled our growth, but also shaped a culture rooted in purpose, caring, and collaboration.
During her tenure, Junior Achievement of Central Illinois has weathered challenges and celebrated meaningful milestones. Under Mary’s leadership, we expanded our reach south to Springfield and east to the Indiana border, grown the Central Illinois Business Hall of Fame to celebrate philanthropy and entrepreneurship, partnered with economic development organizations to create and grow CareerSpark, and brought immersive experiences to our schools through the JA Mobile Discovery Center.
As we prepare for this transition, the JA of Central Illinois Board of Directors has launched a search for our next President, someone who will build on the strong foundation Mary has created while leading us into the next chapter of growth and impact.
In the meantime, our work continues with focus and momentum, empowering young people, strengthening partnerships, and expanding economic opportunity across Central Illinois.
As Mary begins this next chapter, we celebrate the lasting impact she has made on our students, our organization, and our region. Her leadership, her enthusiasm, and her belief in the potential of every young person we serve will continue to be felt in everything we do.
