The Inauguration of Minouche Shafik

Columbia University is planning an incredible day of events on October 4 to celebrate the inauguration of our new president Minouche Shafik. The centerpiece is President Shafik’s investiture, open to everyone, which will take place between 11 am and 1 pm on Low Steps. The investiture is an opportunity to come together as a community and to hear President Shafik's vision for the future of Columbia.

10–11 am Class practices breathing techniques and moves through some basic yoga poses, concentrating on alignment, balance, and flexibility.

11:15 am–12:15 pm Gentle/chair yoga, ideal for those of more limited mobility or flexibility.


Professor Emerita Ginny Papaioannou, a registered teacher with the Yoga Alliance, leads EPIC Yoga. No prior experience is required to join.
