|
|
It's early in the year and the field trial season is in full season with eight events taking place last week. As a result there has been a big impact on rankings for dogs, handlers and kennels.
If you run Field Trials you know the importance of obedience. After all, "sit means sit." But obedience at Westminster is a whole 'nother thing. Check out the video of Connie Cleveland and "Nate."
We're also alerting you to ways to clean your dog's teeth and a different tool to help your dogs in and out of vehicles.

| THE PET LOADER |

Many in our sport have ramps that help dogs get in and out of vehicles safely. That is great when you're carrying dogs in a dog truck, but how about when they're in your passenger vehicle (where you have less room).
The "Pet Loader" might be something to consider. It comes in different configurations (as in number of steps) and folds up.

The oldest dog to finish was NFC Trumarc's Dot Come (BLF, 10.2 yo) owned by Keith Thompson and handled by Danny Farmer (Vinwood Retrievers); they took fourth at the RRRC Open.

The youngest dog to finish was Tippecanoe's Sheamus (LM, 2.0 yo) owned and handled by George Wamsley; they earned an RJ at LRC. The oldest dog to finish was FC-AFC Ruff Rivers Oasis on the Plains (BLF, 10.0 yo) owned and handled by Northrup Larson; they took Jammed at South Texas.
