Changes to the Mandatory Mask Policy effective Monday, June 6
Effective June 6, 2022, the University of Windsor’s Mandatory Mask Policy has been updated and will require individuals to wear a mask in all indoor spaces only where physical distancing of two metres cannot be maintained. This includes classrooms, laboratories, meeting rooms, conference rooms, vehicles, lounges, and shared spaces.

Wearing a mask outdoors where physical distancing cannot be maintained is strongly recommended.

Masks will no longer be mandatory upon building entry or in areas where two metres of physical distancing from other individuals can be maintained.

In settings where masks are not required because physical distancing can be maintained, we remind the UWindsor community to be kind and respect the decisions of others based on their individual comfort levels, risk assessment and personal choice.

The University of Windsor continues to recommend practicing good public health measures, including vaccination, to prevent COVID-19 transmission and infection.
