Bishop Grimes is proud to announce a new partnership with Syracuse’s own professional basketball team, the Syracuse Stallions, who have agreed to host all 2021 home contests at BG.
Bishop Grimes Alumni, and Stallions Team President and General Manager Mike Sugamosto ’11, discussed not only the excitement surrounding their decision, but also an overwhelming feeling of pride in returning to a gymnasium filled memories of his time as a Cobra student-athlete.
“This gym brings back a lot of memories,” said Sugamosto. “This is the gym where I fell in love with the game. Being able to bring the Stallions here for the 2021 season means continuing to bring professional basketball to the Syracuse community. Myself, and the entire Stallions organization are excited for this partnership.”
Sugamosto will not be the only Stallions staff member returning to his alma mater, as the former voice of Cobras Athletics, Jimmy Morgan ’09, returns as the teams Public Address Announcer.
