Returning to Belmont: September 26
OUR DOORS ARE OPEN
On behalf of your Vestry, I am very excited to let you know that we are ready to begin offering public worship services at our Belmont property, starting Sunday, September 26 at 10:00 AM.
It has been 3 1/2 years since we have worshiped together on Belmont, and I know that our community is looking forward to moving forward into this building that means so much to us. Thanks to the hard work of many volunteers, we are ready to open our doors for Sunday worship services again, and we can't wait to do so.
Here are a few things to know as we move forward over the next few weeks and months:
  • Our first service at Belmont will be Sunday, September 26 at 10:00. We will celebrate the Holy Eucharist and worship together in the beauty of holiness. This and the Sundays to follow will be "soft openings," since there remains work to be done.
  • We are also planning a Grand Opening/Open House on November 7, All Saints Sunday -- stay tuned for more details.
  • This coming Sunday, September 19, will be our final service held at 656 W Barry Avenue.
  • We are still working on our online options: stay tuned for more details.
  • At this time, we are not planning to offer any formal coffee hour following our Sunday services until we receive further guidance regarding COVID-19 protocols.
  • Masks are still to be worn by all in attendance, regardless of vaccination status. Readers, preachers, and celebrants are invited to "unmask" during their respective tasks.
We still need your help to take care of a few things on our way forward to September 26. Keep in mind the following tasks and let us know if you can be present to help:
  • Saturday, September 18: Cleaning and Polishing at Belmont. Join us to give the walls, marble, and liturgical instruments a proper shine. 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
  • Sunday, September 19: Moving from Barry to Belmont. Following the 10:00 service this Sunday, Deacon Garth and Jordan Rutledge will lead volunteers in moving our belongings from our space on Barry forward to Belmont.
  • Saturday, September 25: Final Cleaning. The day before our first worship service at Belmont, we will give the building one more cleaning to make sure it's in the best shape possible as we welcome one another and the community into our space.
If you can join us to assist in any of these tasks, please let us know. Reach out to Deacon Garth Howe ([email protected]) if you have questions or want to let him know that you are coming.
Join us at 617 W. Belmont Ave. on Sunday, September 26. We can't wait to see you there.
