June 2021
Kindergarten student Yaritza loves swimming lessons at Horizons
Horizons is IN for Summer!
On Monday, June 14, we kicked off Horizons 2021 with over 100 students! Please read on for a few highlights and an important announcement.
It's a Family Affair!
Did you know that we serve more than 30 sets of siblings, including kindergartner Jaidalyz and third grader Jaiden? Because we know that serving entire families extends our impact and benefits everyone, we give preference to siblings.

For many younger brothers and sisters, joining Horizons the summer after kindergarten is an exciting milestone they have been looking forward to for years!
Horizons is 'Under the Big Top' this summer, thanks to some special donors
We are grateful to the Gardner Family who has provided the generous gift of large tents for the summer! Horizons students already are enjoying time reading, learning, and playing in these safe and shaded spaces!

Horizons is 100% donor funded! Interested in supporting our program? Please contact Rebecca Fowler, Director of Development, at fowlerr@lancastercountryday.org.
We're Hiring a Full-Time Executive Director!
Could you be the next to lead Horizons at LCDS?
Since 2015, our program has grown from one class of 15 kindergartners and three staff members to 105 students and 23 staff! It's our mission to serve as many students and families as possible, not only during the summer months but also throughout the school year. To lead Horizons through this exciting next phase of growth, we're seeking a full-time Executive Director with significant fundraising and program management experience. Learn more here.

Our founding Director, Meg Reed, will assist with the transition and will remain active with the program. The Horizons at LCDS Board of Directors is working to ensure a seamless transition. We'll share details with partners and donors every step of the way. Thank you in advance for your support!
