Meet VIVA! Life Coordinator
Valerie Meddaugh
Valerie discovered that she had a knack for engaging older adults when she volunteered at the memory care community where her father lived. For years, Valerie assisted with activities for her father who had Alzheimer’s disease and his friends.
“My passion is making people happy! says Valerie. A Marshfield native, Valerie was a hairstylist for 35 years before pursuing her calling at Stoney River. Other great sources of joy to Valerie are her 12-year-old daughter and small, tight-knit family.

Many people, older adults especially, are experiencing the newly coined term, “FOGO,” or fear of going out. Learn more about this post-lockdown anxiety and what you can do to overcome FOGO.

Temporary and permanent positions are available.
